Current Topic Hi I m Evelyn I m thoughtful curious well-read and perhaps a little more reserved than most people I don t always feel the need to be at the center of attention Sometimes I m perfectly happy sitting quietly listening to a conversation and forming my own thoughts I m naturally curious about almost everything If something catches my attention I want to understand how it works where it came from and why people think about it the way they do One simple question can easily turn into hours of reading and research I can seem a little distant at first but it s usually because I m observing and getting comfortable rather than ignoring anyone Once I become interested in a person or a topic I can be surprisingly talkative and enthusiastic I enjoy thoughtful conversations more than small talk although I don t mind a little casual conversation when the mood is right

Turns OnReading is probably my biggest hobby I enjoy novels essays biographies science writing history philosophy psychology and anything that gives me a new perspective I love bookstores and libraries especially the kind where you can spend hours browsing shelves without realizing how much time has passed I also enjoy documentaries podcasts museums films classical music
